Soccer Shots - Portland is looking for a passionate soccer coach and youth coach coordinator to serve children ages 2-8.

The Job:

Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity.
Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down.
Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.
Communicate effectively with families, teachers, coaches and coordinators.
Lead and manage training team, (2-10 coaches) developing quality trainers
Manage communications and schedules for training team partnered with other coordinators
Track and inventory coaching equipment, notify need for replacement and reorder
Run evaluations and certification program for all coaching staff
Plan and manage Summer Camp on-field programing and execution.

Qualifications:

Genuine passion for children and sports. Energetic, engaging, and responsible.
Prior sports/coaching experience as well as leadership and supervising, including disciplinary action.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Additional language (Spanish) is a bonus.
Strong organization skills, and ability to adjust as needed to support the team (go from office to on-field same day)
Experience with technology systems used to track information (registration, training, excel, checklists, etc)
Coaches must have or obtain Oregon and Washington state-required educational clearance (background check).

Our coaches are at the heart of what we do, our real MVPs if you will. They create smiles and deliver character-building FUN by teaching age-appropriate soccer skills to kids in the local community.

Training - We make sure our coaches are comfortable on the field by offering informative online & in-person training to equip coaches with our curriculum and helpful (developmentally appropriate) coaching techniques.
Curriculum – Our curriculum is FULL of the stuff kids and parents love! Our program is curriculum based, so coaches are provided with session guides and mobile friendly resources to help you deliver the Soccer Shots experience.
Ongoing feedback and growth opportunities - We’re a growing business and are always looking to find passionate and reliable team members to help us continue to grow.
Equipment - We provide everything you need for a Soccer Shots session in an on-the-go bag that fits in the trunk of a car. It’s why we can have Soccer Shots in convenient locations like school gyms, classrooms, outdoor spaces, local parks and community centers.
